Project Description:

The candidate will spend his/her day working on the end-to end testing of the UI for the tool. The role will focus on OLAP data warehousing and data marts. The candidate will be involved in ETL testing to ensure source data is extracted per rules as expected, and data transformations are as expected and loaded into data marts to be available for reports. Test cases are SQL queries written for extensibility and reuse for regression testing, and will be reviewed by leads and audited. The candidate will be expected to create test plan and test cases (manual mostly) for assigned features and upload and update them in VSTS (Visual Studio). If processes can be automated the candidate is welcome to do so. S/he must execute test cases and log in VSTS, participate in defect triages, and report status on assigned areas. Since the team is a collaborative environment, the candidate will be expected to coordinate with lead and team members in Redmond as well as in India\China on tasks related to the assigned features and participate in relevant meetings for the project (status, design, reviews, brainstorm).

Requirements:

  SQL knowledge (SQL 2005 is a bonus)

  Knowledge of OLAP/data warehousing

  Drive & Initiative focus

  Strong Communication

  C# knowledge (ability to read and write) is a bonus

  Experience at Microsoft and with Visual Studio is a bonus

Software Design Engineer in Test 3 

The group is working several initiatives  One is Add Center Analytics:  This grabs data from web sites to determine how many visitors a site is having.  Then it collects data and extracts for User and marketing purposes.

They are looking for an SDET for Database testing.  They have two positions.  One for performance and one for Functional testing.

“We are seeking strong Software Design Engineer in Test with a thorough understanding of testing methodologies that possesses strong database knowledge as well as good coding skills (C#, C++). You should demonstrate expertise in stored procedures, triggers, replication, DTS and other advanced SQL Server features to implement distributed and partitioned databases. Primary responsibilities include designing and implementing test plans and test cases, automating test cases, performing code reviews, identifying and owning bugs.

Qualifications include a minimum of 4 years testing and coding experience and in-depth experience/knowledge of database design especially with large scale OLAP/DW implementation. Good communication and organizational skills are required. Proficiency in C# or C++ is preferred. A BA/BS degree in Computer Science or similar discipline is preferred
