Hi,
I am after a bit of advice regarding SQL2000 Replication and backups.
I am running this on a Cisco Call Manager system.
My scenario is this
I have a Publisher database and a subscriber database, during normal operation the subscriber is kept up to date via a Pull subscription.
The publisher is also backed up via the BARS utility within call manager.
If I take a Backup at, say, 12:00 midday and then at 17:00 the Publisher server dies, if I build an identical Server and then "restore" the backup to it how will the Subscriber see the new database and downlod it.
I have taken a snapshot and republished etc but we seem to get a lot of errors in the database.
We have also deleted the database to ensure a complete copy is sent from the Publisher to the subscriber.
Is their anything within SQL that we might be mssing that would prevent this from working correctly.
Also, do any of you have Cisco Call Manager (4.x) that you back up in case the publisher dies and how would you reload this data to a newly built Publisher
Thanks
